Urban Renewal Coordinator Association of Japan contributes
to the progress of Urban Renewal

The members of Urban Renewal Coordinator Association of Japan are mainly from four major fields involved in urban renewal: consultants of urban renewal, construction industry, real estate agents and trust banks. In order to support the progress of urban renewal, the Association undertakes the following activities:-
(1) Improvement of the urban renewal coordination techniques
(2) Training of the urban renewal coordinators
(3) Provision of the latest information on urban renewal
(4) Education and dissemination of urban renewal.
Through these activities, the Association acts as a channel for those in the urban renewal fields. Another main task of the organisation is the examination and certification that approves the qualification for urban renewal planners.

Improvement of urban renewal techniques
The Association undertakes various research programs concerning technical aspects of urban renewal. The research outcome will be provided to the members, thus contributing to the progress of urban renewal.

Training Program
The Association offers a number of seminars by fully experienced lecturers.

Information services of urban renewal
The Association issues the newsletter that includes information on governmental policy, technical developments and project experiences. Also the Association sponsors events for information exchange among members.

Education and dissemination of urban renewal
The Association publishes various books and statistics relating to urban renewal as well as holds seminars and lectures for educational purposes. The association is also pleased to give an advice to renewal projects at early stages. The Eika Takayama Funds, established by the Association, is aimed to support initial activities in disaster stricken areas and to make publicity campaigns for deeper understandings of community development and disaster prevention. Should any disaster happens, the Association will always support the reconstruction activities immediately.
